 - Joined Masuda & Ejiri (presently known as Nishimura & Asahi). Handled inbound acquisitions such as BOC’s taking over of Osaka Oxygen Company and Merck’s taking over of Banyu Pharmaceuticals.
 - 1985
 - Graduated legal studies, Columbia University School of Law (LL.M). Associated with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, NY.
 - 1986
 - Admitted to bar, New York. In Paris Branch of Paul, Weiss, worked for the contract of Euro Tunnel and so on. Moving Salans Hartzfeld & Heilbronn, engaged in Japanese companies’ business in France, and served Japan Embassy as legal counselor.
 - 1987
 - Returned to Masuda & Ejiri. Devoted to outbound acquisitions including Sunstar’s purchase of Butler. Given advices on technical licensing, establishment of subsidiaries in and outside Japan, and over various international contract.
 - 1995
 - Joined Mitsui Yasuda Wani & Maeda as a partner. Given advices to the Joint Venture formed to open Universal Studio in Osaka.
 - 1996
 - Admitted to bar, France.
 - 2004
 - Joined Orrick Tokyo as managing partner.
 - 2007
 - Joined Squire Sanders & Dempsey as Tokyo managing partner. Handled M&A transactions targeting Japanese listed companies. Served as director or auditor for several listed companies.
 - 2010
 - Established Arufa Partners Houritu Jimusho. Handled crypto currencies matters including Mt. Gox affaires.
 - 2015
